The Hogwarts Basement is a small cupboard off the Dungeon Corridor, just before the dungeon hall. This room was where Rubeus Hagrid hid Aragog in the early 1940s and, consequently, where Hagrid was framed by Tom Riddle on 13 June, 1943 as the one who had unleashed Slytherin's monster.
